Fashion talks about who you are and who you want to be. Embedded within a simple set of clothing is a form of empowerment. The power to define you who are and the power to change yourself into who you wish to be. For some people, dressing up gives you the confidence that enables you to face up any form of challenges. Just look at people heading for interviews. Any sane person on Earth will feel the jitters when seated in the interview room. But with the appropriate dressing (coupled with ample preparation prior to that), you are on your way to ace it. Likewise for presentations. Blazers are your best companions when it comes to presentations. Definitely, it gives you the warmth amidst the chilly lecture halls/boardrooms that you are in. But it too possessed the ability to contain all the nervousness within you and thereafter enhancing you with the capacity to give the best performance ever.

That is the power of clothes, the power of fashion.

I’d been listening to Dad’s favourite F.M. Channel every time he drove me to school and there’s this particular phrase that was being mentioned during one of the programs which I liked a lot. It says, “Change your perspective, and you can change your life”. I suppose this ties in pretty well with the theme of the week. Many a times, we are guilty of complaining at the slightest things that you may find. But how many times, have we attempted to change things for the better? Just take a look at the issue of climate change which I suppose many of you would have been familiar with. People complain on climate change, but how have we done to improve on the situations? The inertia to change is so immense and it makes all the talks on resolving climate change empty.

Same thing for the complains with regards to your looks. Well, I am not exactly proposing for everyone to change their looks by going for plastic surgery (and neither am I against it). What I am proposing it that yes, no one can be particularly satisfied with how they look. As such, instead of getting all so depressed over it, work to change it! If you find yourself fat, go exercise or if you wish to go the easy way out, go for liposuction and what’s not to get rid of it. If you find your complexion bad, do something about it! Drink more water, sleep early, exercise regularly and be disciplined in your skincare regime. Tough it may be and I personally is guilty of it too. But nevertheless, it beats doing nothing except complain about the misery of your life.

Take charge of your life and live it the way you want it to be.

Life is like a bed of roses.

Life is like a bed of roses – Look beyond the thorny side of it and what you get is a sight of pure beauty. Treasure it like the loving roses that you get on your anniversaries. For only that will you truly appreciate the beauty of life.

You girls out there might be wondering why we seemed so philosophical in the theming of our collections. Once again, the reason’s simple. Indeed that we are running a fashion business and that economic gains is something which keeps us alive in the industry. But what we want above all others, is for our customers to be happy.

Clothes and accessorising. All of which can package one into someone who stands out in the limelight. But all of which too are superficial. True beauty is something which money can’t buy. You can have the best looking clothes, the best looking accessories that money can buy you. But you will never look good when you are sick. Health is the key to being beautiful. And to be healthy, you must not just be mindful of your diet and your lifestyle but also, your attitude towards life. Happiness brings you good health. And to be happy, you must lead your life with full optimism. Perhaps not to the extend of living in self-denial but more of to look beyond the needle in the haystack and indulge in the wonders that the particular haystack may offer to you. Look on the bright side of life and you will be one happy girl.
Only then, will clothes and all other accessories you wear glow and shine like the stars above.

Sunshine after the rain

So many of you have been asking us.
Why “sunshine after the rain”? The reason is pretty simple.

All of us have our rainy days from time to time. Sometimes it may be a light drizzle, sometimes it may be an intense torrential rain. But no matter what, at the end of the day, the rain will stop and the sun will emerge out of the thick black clouds looming above us and shed some precious light and joy to all of us. So stay optimistic and strive through whatever rainy weathers you may face. Light will bestow upon you eventually and when that happens, you will learn and grow like the seedlings emerging from the soil. who we are…

I know it’s a lil late on us in catching up with the shop blog craze. But still, here we are!
To those who had yet to know about us, here’s a short introduction into the masterminds of myClosetdelights.
myClosetdelights, as the name suggests, was a joint-endeavour made between 3 individuals who aspired to bring happiness to each and everyone of their customers by providing timeless and super wearable apparels to all the girls out there.

Individual (1): Yen Soon
Yes, you might be amazed. Unlike many blogshop owners where the female race dominants, YenSoon is the MAN !!! ((: Currently in his 3rd year in SMU School of Business, he is in-charge of everything relating to finance, i.e. budgeting and what’s not.

Individual (2): Hui Min
Perhaps someone that you all might be familiar with, I am the co-owner as well as the ehem…face of the shop. Doing my Honours Year in NUS FASS, I major in Geography and nopes, I am not going to become a teacher in case anyone of you might be interested in asking. What am I in-charge of? Being the more arty farty one amongst the trio, I basically do everything pertaining to designing, photo-editting/collaging, etc. etc.

Individual (3): Min Hui
Yes, please don’t get confused over their names. Min Hui is Yen Soon’s sister and the youngest of them all. Ok la, the other two ain’t that old either, just 1 and 2 years (HuiMin and YenSoon respectively) older only. Doing her 3rd year in NUS FASS (woohoo~!), she majors in Economics! Responsible for the overall operations of the shop, what she does is the more meticulous and tedious work of processing orders, verifying payments and sending out of parcels. (: 

But of course, the trio also do help one another wherever possible in order to further enhance your shopping experience!!!
